Returned to Queensland Australia on 18th October 2017 This was our 3rd trip to Nepal and again everything went to plan. With Everest Base camp 4 years ago, Annapurna Circuit 2 years ago and this time Langtang/Kyanjin Gumba and then around to Gosainkunda Lakes (12 day trek). Binod and his team made it perfect again. His patience with us as slow walkers and getting us up to altitudes of 4300 meters plus without any problems was a credit to his knowledge of the areas he promotes through his company Nepal Pioneer Treks and Expeditions. My husband and I (56 and 58) have trusted Binod and his team every time we have planned our adventures in Nepal. We can not recommend Binod and his business partner highly enough. Their team of guides and porters help make this company a pleasure to deal with. The time spent together talking, play cards, laughing and just having fun really do make for great memories. The accommodation in Thamel was excellent. Clean and well maintained and the staff were very helpful. I am from LONDON England and my friend from Netherlands.
February this year, a friend and I embarked on our first BIG trekking expedition up to Mount Everest Base Camp. Being our first trip to Nepal, ever...we were slightly nervous....to say the least.
Having done our research we decided to contact Nepal Pioneer Treks via email. With an amazingly quick and professional response, we instantly agreed we were extremely happy with our choice (Binod- the company owner- called us within 24hours will all the information we needed and we felt more than comfortable) On arrival, we were given IMPECCABLE service, hospitability and open warms.
The accommodation was amazing in Nepal and the free tour included in the trip was insightful and educational.
From day one, Binod gave us all the information we needed, tips, extra clothing and were super knowledgeable, professional and great fun throughout the trip.
The trek itself up to base camp was the best experience of my life, and I have to thank Binod and Pioneer treks for this one. Honestly, we met loads of people who were very disappointed with their chosen company, their guilds and porters. Binod (our guild) and porter were nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL! With 20 years experience under his belt, he choose the pace for our fitness, gave us all the time we needed and kept the spirits high when the going got tough.
We both loved the experience and loved the company! My friend and I, plan on returning to Nepal next year to complete the Annapurna circuit and without question, we would 100% use this company again!

Expert & Excellent Holiday

We had an amazing holiday in Nepal in April 2012. Eaklal is incredibly knowledgeable and patient which is very important in trekking or climbing in the Himalayas. We did the two week Everest base camp trek and it was a trip of a lifetime! He made sure to keep us healthy by advising us on what foods not to eat or drink at each tea house. That sounds silly but a lot of people get tummy issues eating the wrong things. I also got a pretty bad case of altitude sickness and Eaklal was the one to turn me around and get me back to lower altitude as quickly as possible. Safety was his primamry goal but was able to give us such a wonderful education on mountains, villages, history, culture and flora. He is a wealth of information and really took great care of us.

A Company You Can Trust For a Memorable Experience

We trekked with Eaklal as our guide back in 2010. Over our three weeks together trekking from Lukla to EBC then out to Jiri, he became a dear friend. He kept an eye on our health (first time at altitude) and looked after other trekkers we met along the way. Fellow trekkers commented that he was the best guide they'd met (I'd have to agree!). We felt honoured to have met him and learn about the beauty of Nepal's geography, culture and people from him.

Everest Base Camp Trek

On top of the world experience it was! I and my husband trekked to Everest Base Camp in December of 2014. I not much being a fitness conscious person, the trek was at least a notch more difficult than for any average trekking enthusiast. If it was not because of Eklal and Neeraj, we wouldn't have made it to the base camp.
As a guide should, Eklal helped us at every point during the trek. The team not only made the trek successful, but also enjoyable. Our evening cards session and the cut apple peices, that he offered after every dinner are still unforgettable. His judgments were also commendable.
On the whole EBC trek was a soul stirring experience. If I and my husband ever again wish to visit the Himalayas, it's going to be the same team again. Cheers!!

Fantastic ABC Trekking - 2014

On 12 Oct 2014, I started my 11 days journey to hike Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) with 7 of my friends.
Mr Eaklal helped me a lot during the whole trip as I was the last person to reach the peak due to my knee problems. He is very kind and attentive, always prepared to meet our needs. He made us feel like home. He is a humorous guy too and that made the entire trip so enjoyable. We had so much fun!
Moreover, he is very knowledgeable guide and he never gets tired in explaining his culture to us in detail.
Last but not least Mr Eaklal is a very patient guy. I was always the last person to reach the stop. He is always there to accompany me making sure that I'm fine.
Thank you very much! I will look for you again for my next trip to Bhutan and EBC.

Trekking + climing two 6000m+ peaks

We spent over 2 weeks trekking in Kumbu region. The goal was to climb two 6000 + meter peaks: Island Peak nad Lobuche. One constraint was limited time. Eaklal organized everything perfectly. Trip plan accounted for acclimatization given the time constraints. As a result we felt no attitute problems. Our high attitude guide was carefully selected, highly skilled, extemly experienced person. His account was multiple 8000+ peaks (Everest 3x, Cho oyou, Shisha Pangma). Safety is paramount for us so from this perspective we couldn't have a better guide. Trekking was perfectly organized and we felt we are really taken care of. First the hotel - very high standard, clean and well located. Welcome dinner sort of intoduces local cultre and cusine. On the trek, Eaklal booked probably the best rooms in tea houses oh the way.. so if there was a room with attached bathroom or with hot shower we were sure to get that one. Belive me, it makes a hudge difference during and after many days of threk. Last but not least, Eaklal as a guide is a very knowlegable person, nice to talk to, with excellent english speaking skills. Perfect host :) Eaklal seems to know most of the guides on the trail and it seems he's able to fix/get everyting done in no time.
Generally we had excellent experience in Nepal. All we had to worry about was just the climbing and sighseeing. I highy recommend Eaklal and Nepal Pioneer Treks & Expedition.

Fantastic active holidays!

We had some fantastic time spent in Nepal again with Nepal Pioneer and Eaklal's team! It is already 3rd time we have spent holidays together :) This time we have decided to challenge ourselves and sign up for an attempt to climb Island Peak and Lobuche Peak. All the trek and climbs were perfectly organised and successful. We have enjoyed ourselves every moment of it! Highly recommended!
